Qwest expanding high-speed Internet through Phoenix,

Qwest Communications International Inc.
is expanding its newest version of high-speed Internet to areas
of the Denver-based
Qwest (NYSE:Q) is rolling out the service, which offers 40
megabit-per-second download speeds and half that for upload in
parts of Cave Creek, Higley, Laveen, Marana, Maricopa, Mesa, Oro
Valley, Queen Creek, Tempe and Tucson. Qwest already has service
in several local cities, among them The company began rolling out the upgraded
service for its entire 14-state service area in July and has
been adding territories over time. The service is available to
about 3.5 million customers, officials said. Price range from $99.99 and $109.99 per month
for the Internet access as part of Qwest’s bundled services.
